Batsheva Kuhr, Co-President
Batsheva is currently a senior majoring in Biology. She hopes to attend Optometry school after completing her degree at Stern. She, of course, loves Physics with a passion. She estimates her terminal velocity while riding roller coasters and sees physics everywhere in life. She is fascinated by ocular prostheses ("fake eyes") and visual prostheses (artificially functioning eyes).

Mushky Pinson, Co-President
Hey, my name is Mushky and yes, I'm a obsessed with physics. I'm currently a senior at Stern, majoring in Biochemistry and I hope to go to medical school when I complete my degree. While I was taking physics, I started seeing - and calculating - the universe in a whole new way. Now, while crossing the busy streets of N.Y., I try to calculate how fast I have to accelerate in order to make it across those ever-growing meters the separate me from my next class. Physics is everywhere and through the physics club, you will see it, too.

Ionit Cohen, Secretary
Ionit is currently a junior working towards a bachelor’s in Biology and Computer Science. She hopes to attend medical school after completing her degree at Stern. After taking physics this past summer, she has fallen in love with it. She’s excited for her passion for physics to continue to grow through her involvement in the physics club.

Gaby Elkaim
I'm a physics major, and I hope to one day study astronomy. I became interested in astrophysics at three or four years old, when I decided that I would one day be an astronaut. Upon realizing that astronauts need to have perfect vision and a better reason for going up than simply wanting to, I gave up that dream and decided to settle for the next best thing, which actually turns out to be better. That would be physics. If I ever do get into space though, I'll try to send you a postcard ;)[email protected]
Ilana Ickow, Webmaster
Ilana first found her way to exploring Physics when she got lost in a Physics park in Israel. Ever since then she has enjoyed studying Pascal's Principle, banked curves, Lenz's Law, magnetic flux, buoyant force, and elastic collisions. She is a pre-dental senior at Stern and enjoys calculating the frequency of her notes on the flute, tension of her piano strings, and the torque of a toothbrush when held at a lever arm of 4 inches with an applied force of 0.5 N.

Davida Kollmar, Vice President
A Junior at Stern, Davida is majoring in physics because she loves being able to learn about how the world actually works. Working for the chemistry club made her realize that she could easily make the science labs her fourth home, behind her house in Edison, NJ, her dorm room, and the Beit Midrash. Davida's hobbies include reading, learning just about anything, and writing her puzzle column for The Observer.

Chana Mirel Meltzer, Treasurer
I am a SuperDuper Senior and I LOVE science. I live in New Haven, CT (yep, thats where Yale is) and when I grow up, I want to be a PA (if that doesnt work out, my backup plan is an astronaut and Plan C is a Princess!) I am so excited to be part of the Physics Club because I have loved physics ever since I realized my dream is to be a rocket scientist!

Nicole Moskowitz
Nicole is a senior at Stern, majoring in physical sciences with a concentration in mechanics. She hopes to complete the joint program in biomedical engineering with Columbia University. She has a passion for the field of biomechatronics, from the physics, mathematics, and fine arts perspectives. In addition to her fascination with the approximation of biological systems by engineering sciences, she also has a love for the Greek alphabet (which comes in quite handy!). She is especially interested in the applied field of [lower extremity] prosthetics and would love to have a career as a prosthetic practitioner and designer/innovator/engineer, with G-d’s help!

Chumie Yagod, Publicity Chair
Chumie is a junior, double majoring in Biology and Philosophy. She loves science with all her heart and soul, the parts that are not reserved for Philosophy of course. Her favorite parts of Physics are ALL OF IT. She wants to be a science teacher, get her PhD in Philosophy, and learn everything.
