Mushky Pinson, Co-President (fall semester)
Hey, my name is Mushky and yes, I'm a obsessed with physics. I'm currently a senior at Stern, majoring in Biochemistry and I hope to go to medical school when I complete my degree. While I was taking physics, I started seeing - and calculating - the universe in a whole new way. Now, while crossing the busy streets of N.Y., I try to calculate how fast I have to accelerate in order to make it across those ever-growing meters the separate me from my next class. Physics is everywhere and through the physics club, you will see it, too.

Davida Kollmar, Co-President
A Senior at Stern, Davida is majoring in physics because she loves being able to learn about how the world actually works. Working for the chemistry club made her realize that she could easily make the science labs her fourth home, behind her house in Edison, NJ, her dorm room, and the Beit Midrash. Davida's hobbies include reading, learning just about anything, and writing her puzzle column for The Observer.

Gaby Elkaim, Vice President (fall semester), Co-President (spring semester)
I'm a physics major, and I hope to one day study astronomy. I became interested in astrophysics at three or four years old, when I decided that I would one day be an astronaut. Upon realizing that astronauts need to have perfect vision and a better reason for going up than simply wanting to, I gave up that dream and decided to settle for the next best thing, which actually turns out to be better. That would be physics. If I ever do get into space though, I'll try to send you a postcard ;)

Miriam Andrusier, Secretary
Miriam is a junior studying Molecular and Cellular Biology. She hopes to go to
medical school and eventually help people, other than with web assign. She is
excited to put her case of OCD to good use as secretary of the physics club for
2013. She is looking forward to being able to help show people that physics is
what makes the world go round, literally and that it can be interesting and fun
all at the same time.

Ionit Cohen, Secretary
Ionit is currently a senior working towards a bachelor’s in Biology and Computer Science. She hopes to attend medical school after completing her degree at Stern. After taking physics this past summer, she has fallen in love with it. She’s excited for her passion for physics to continue to grow through her involvement in the physics club.

Malka Sigal, Events Coordinator
Malka is a junior at Stern, and she is a real, live physics major! She has a second major in Jewish Studies. When people ask her what she intends to do with such a double major, her response is, "I want to be a farmer in Israel." Failing that, she is considering rocket science, and hopes it considers her back. If that doesn't work, she'd like to be an architect, which is why she's attempting to minor in art alongside her double major. She is super-excited to be an event coordinator for the SCW Physics Club, and she invites you, dear reader, to email her with any and all event suggestions that you may have.

Daniela Garzon
Daniela, a junior at Stern, is pursuing a career in engineering. On the way she is set to explore all of the sciences and the inner workings of the world. When she does not have her head in a text book she enjoys hanging out with friends, eating ice cream and drawing. She enjoys the many wonders of NYC but loves being home in Milwaukee, WI where the air is always fresh and the sky is always blue.

Naamah Plotzker
Naamah gravitated to the Physics Club in hope that it would
give magnitude and direction to her life. She never expected to like
physics, but she was really inspired by Dr. Khalfan to see how cool it really
is.Some things that she really likes are music, friendship, and
doodling.

Nasim Tishbi
My name is Nasim Tishbi and I am a senior majoring in biochemistry. I am originally from Iran and came here 4 years ago. I want to pursue a career in dentistry. I like learning all of the sciences and relating them to each other; it is just fantastic to see how nicely all physics and chemistry phenomena fit in biological systems. I also enjoy doing research in the Biochemistry field. Other than science, I am interested in cooking, gardening and spending time with my friends.
